Before signing up for a class, please check the schedule and read this cancellation policy carefully.  To be fair to all concerned, teacher and other students, we must remain firm in our registration and cancellation policies. Registration is to be paid in full  prior to class start date.  E-Transfer or cash are preferable,  charge card and PayPal available online.

No refunds will be given unless the class is cancelled by the sewing instructor, or participant cancels 72 hours prior to the class start date (less $25 service fee). Copy Cut Sewing Studio reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop if participation level is below the minimum (2).  In that case, affected registrants will be offered enrolment in a future, equivalent class to be fulfilled within the next 3 months.

 Beginner Basics  -  Level 1

A great way to begin something new - learn to sew.  Or, revisit skills that have long been dormant and start anew. Learn the ways and means of a sewing machine to construct a pair of casual, zipperless pants for men or women. The pattern, fabric, and all supplies are included in the registration fee.

4 weeks, 8-10 hours - prerequisite to Basics Level 2.

Level 2

Sew a myriad of samples of various techniques and complete a Kimono robe. Pattern, fabric and all notions needed are included in the registration fee. A beautiful project and 'Sew' much fun!

4 weeks, 2.5 hrs/week, 8-10 hours - prerequisite to Level 3.

Level 3

We will get even more serious with tips, tricks, and techniques in this class.  Once again, pattern, fabric, and everything else is part of the registration to make a shirt or blouse. You will insert sleeves, attach collars and make button holes in this project.  A real confidence builder!

4 weeks, 2 hrs/week, over 4 weeks.

Beyond the Basics  - Level 4

The finishing details are dealt with now in order to get the most professionally made, better than retail look on any garment. You will learn the finite details needed to create a virtual wardrobe, like inserting zippers, adding waist bands, set-in sleeves with cuffs and 'sew' much more. One pre-requisite:  completion of level 3, or equivalent.

10 hours, 2 hrs per week, over 4 weeks.

Serger 101  -  Sergers are not supplied.

Want to sew knits or learn all the magic capabilities of sergers, join in on this 2.5 hour session to see how they work. Bring your serger to class along with its' specific operating manual (a must have), and cone threads (one each of red, green, blue, and yellow). Sergers can be scary, even frustrating, but you will see why they are an essential addition to your sewing repertoire.

Serger 102 - Serger 101 pre-requisite

If you are already familiar with and comfortable using your Serger, this class will give you more in-depth knowledge.  There is so much you can do with a serger that you will likely use it more than ever before.  Besides sewing knit fabrics, learn flat locking seams that look like ready to wear, perfect rolled hems for fine fabrics and  table linens, tons of decorative stitches to customize your projects, plus  'oh sew' much more.

4-5 weeks, 3 hrs/week, 12-15 hours.

Fitting garments

A  private session for up to two sewers at a time to ensure this most difficult aspect of sewing is made easier. If extra help is needed to make alterations in a garment you are making, a private session can be set up. E Mail for more details.
