Copy Cut Fashions Sewing Studio reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop if participation level is below the minimum (2).  In that case, affected registrants will be offered enrolment in a future, equivalent class.  Should a refund be approved, an administration fee of $50.00 will be charged.

BEGINNER BASICS  -  Level 1   A great way to begin something new - learn to sew, or, revisit past skills that have long been dormant. By the end of these sewing lessons, you will appreciate why digging deep into the basics is a wise investment. You will create a pair of casual pants and be well on your way to producing professional looking garments.  Pattern, fabric, and all supplies are included in the registration fee.

Level 2

Whether a garment is 'home-made' or 'custom-made' depends on the techniques used and how they are applied. This next class teaches you the secrets.  The casual pants made in Level 1 will compliment the shirt you will make in Level 2.  Pattern is included in the registration fee. Prerequisite: Level 1

 Level 3

Now is when trickier techniques come into play. The finishing details are dealt with now in order to get the most professionally made, better than retail look you want.  You will learn to insert a variety of zippers, pockets, structured waist bands, facings and bias finishes, along with other finishes you will need to know when creating a virtual wardrobe of garments. Prerequisite: Level2

You set out to sew the perfect outfit with gorgeous material, sew each step with precision, then find it doesn't fit right. During this series of private sessions, you will make a practical garment (like that 'little black dress') and make it fit exactly to your body structure, by customizing a personal body map for you.  If you are generally 'hard to fit', you won't be after this course. Dates and times are pre-reserved on request.

Have a brand new Serger? Or maybe you've had one for a while but haven't used it yet. Come join us for an in-depth tour and start learning how to use it. Bring your Serger and manual and lets get started

First learn what the parts are and what they do. You also learn about the tools and accessories that came with it. We'll walk thru the manual along side the machine so you can learn to thread your Serger. Lastly, you start to sew, learning how to adjust the tensions for a balanced stitch.

You'll come away with a greater understanding of your machine and a lot more confidence.

In the second class of the Serger series, you build on the skills learned in Serger 101. If you  are already familiar and comfortable with your Serger, this class will give you more in-depth knowledge.

We cover how stitch length and width change your seams, how to secure ends, and we'll review thread tension. Learn flat locking for seams that look like ready to wear and how to do rolled hems for fine fabrics and gorgeous table linens.

NOTE: This class includes a kit with pre-cut fabrics and printed binder pages to keep your reference samples.
